This first set is all puppies. My sister's dog, Zhou Mei, is the Pekingnese, and my cousin Julie's new puppy, Gus, is the tiny little Corgi.
Zhou Mei, lounging around the house...The camera flash always makes her look scarier than she actually is...:

My sister knitted this doggy sweater.

Jules and Gus.

New friends meeting for the first time.

I later came to find that Gus hates this thing. That is, he loves to try and tear it to shreds.

Zhou Mei and Gus get into a little scuffle. Check out the video (~7 megs)

These next few are all of Zhou Mei out at the Beach (Bob Hall Pier, Padre Island, Corpus Christi, TX)

Of course, after the beach, she needed a bath...

She also enjoys eating leaves....

This next set is over in Ric's Garage, which was formally renamed 'Club Dart'. We had an enjoyable time throwing darts and keeping score on the walls:

Nick got some Mexican apparel from his brother...

New Year's Eve, we went over to Malak's cousin's house, as per usual...This year, Malak hooked up all his little cousins with a ton of illegal fireworks. We also enjoyed some pool, noisemakers, a chocolate fountain, and various libations:

Vicky and Hilary

Mal fixes some drinks...

The Bobcat overlooked the festivities...

Cheers

Me and Mal

I just took this picture on the TV, because the General Manager of KIII TV 3 in Corpus has a funny name.
Mom has been hard at work on her quilts. The first one is for Jennifer's new baby, Luke, and the second is for Aunt Pat:

Mom pointed out to me that all of the snowmen pinwheels use the same fabric, but just different cuts...Pretty cool.

Here's a few more of us out at the beach:

I think this little guy is a sand piper.
My candy making effort continued.:

This first batch of hard candy was wintergreen.

I scored a bunch of reasonably priced flavorings at Wal-Mart. The cherry leaves something to be desired, though.
My next few attempts (after the batch of normal cherry candy) consisted of some licorice gummy things (I was trying to hit on a licorice button conistancy).:

The first batch was too gummy:

...and the second batch was too hard..but more chalky... I think I screwed it up by not completely dissolving the gelatin...
The cooking extravaganza didn't end there. Mom and I also made a Lasagna:

And some Gingerbread, as per usual:

This year, we also made pizza. Here I am working on the dough. Vicky took several pictures too many:

This next set is all from Christmas day, for the most part... they're self explanatory, I think:
The first subset is Mom, Dad, Vicky and I at our house...

I picked up this hot cocoa for mom here in Berkeley before I came home. It's Aztec style, complete with chilis. It was pretty damn hot.

Then, we went over to Uncle John's for breakfast. I'll try and label the people from left to right in each picture.

Uncle John and Dylan (Cousin Angie's son) (Vicky in the foreground)

Trish, Piper (Trish and cousin Johnny's daughter), and cousin Cori.

cousin Julie

Max (Angie's other son) and cousin Angie

Dad, Vicky, Me, and our cousin Chris.
That night, we went over to Aunt Mary's for Dinner.

Chris has been in Hungary for the past 18 months or so; He brought back this bottle of wine. It was pretty sweet, but really good.

Chris, Julie, and Me.

The Végh clan, from eldest to youngest; Pat and Mary in the back, Dad, John, and Jeff in the front.

(Most of) the cousins and their kids; Jeffrey, Jennifer, and Johnny (holding Piper) in the back, Chris, me, Vicky, and Angie with Max and Dylan in the front.

As a side note, the sweater Chris is wearing was knitted by our relative Julia in Hungary. It looks pretty comfy, though our other relatives in Hungary were apparently teasing him about its questionable masculinity.
This last batch of 3 were shots I took at a family dinner at Red Lobster a few days later.
